Sunflower Saga

If you watch my Morning Report, you’re well-acquainted with my sunflower.

I planted a plethora of sunflower seeds and only one determined flower sprouted up!

One night, It faced a very hard windstorm and almost fell over, but with the support of a tiki torch, it BLOOMED on Fall Equinox!

I was beaming the day that flower opened.

Cuz it’s a simple joy, and also a profound one.

It’s symbolic.

We make such a freakin’ effort. We do our best to plant seeds of hope here and there and everywhere as often as we can, with aspiration that, with love and water, life will bloom on it’s own into something magnificent.

And this sunflower did. It bloomed, and it was great.

It also, however, snapped in half one night when a curious critter came and took a bite for it’s own gain before it’s time of completion.

Yep. I woke up to find the sunflower’s lifeless head decapitated from its body, its almost-developed seeds spread listslessly across the land.

It was weird though. Cuz I wasn’t sad. I laughed out loud actually. Cuz, that’s gardening. It’s hardcore like that.

🤣

Anyhoo, wanna see my sleepy face in the morning talking about sunflowers and other possible embarrassing tidbits?
